If the tune is successful in being memorable the audience will be able to know when the show is coming on by hearing the intro that way they wont miss the show. A lot of into today are very popular and are a key part of the shows success, a lot of people find that the jingle is the best part of the game show because it is something that they can remember for years. In the future when they hear the tune after a long time they should be able to remember what show it was from because it has been so successful. People also like to sing along to the theme tune which makes the game show more exciting, especially children game shows.
