Step 3-Task 2&3

Group for our Music Video

The group for our music video will be called 24Seven. This is a made up group, we have chosen this because it will be easier to connect them to the music video and the genre which is Dance/Pop. Our genre will intrigue a younger generation because is brand new and is number 1 on the charts at the moment, this will help them understand the music video and can relate to it. As we have chosen a group as our artist we can add more people to our music video to make it more effective.

Performance and Narrative for our Music video

For our music video we have decided to use a combination of performance and narrative because it creates a variation in the music video so it will not be boring. Also you can show the audience the artist themselves during the performance parts but during the narrative scenes we can tell a story that the audience can relate to which will help our music video by making it more effective and successful. We will make the story relate to the song so that the audience can think about and understand the lyrics of the song. We will try to make the video fun and adventurous so it intrigues the audience but also be fun for us to film. We are thinking of using multi-coloured wire-pull smoke grenades and maybe confetti canons or streamers. We would like to make it look like a party with lots of colour. We are still unsure about the performance as we want to know who will be performing and the location of where the performance will take place.
